Jen’s Lamb

1-2 Lb lamb roast, cut in cubes
2 Tbsp olive oil
1-2 onions, chopped
beef or chicken broth (we like part dry vermouth)
1/2 to 1 tsp allspice
salt and pepper to taste
pinch of chili pepper (optional)
1 white cabbage, sliced
Directions
- In a large heavy pot with a cover, brown lamb in oil, then cook down until all liquid is gone.
- Add onions and garlic and saute until onions are lightly browned.
- Add broth to cover, seasonings and cabbage.
- Cook until cabbage wilts, then cover and simmer about 1 1/2 hour (20 min in pressure cooker), until lamb is tender.
